We are just yet another early-stage startup based in Taiwan, but we are working wholeheartedly to build a great product that empowers creative minds by connecting them with like-minded people with different skills and backgrounds. For this ambitious journey, we are looking for an innovative senior frontend developer who is proficient with ReactJS.

As a frontend developer, your primary focus will be on developing user interface components and implementing them following React.js workflows. You will ensure that these components and the overall application are robust and easy to maintain. You will coordinate with the rest of the team working on different layers of the infrastructure. Therefore, a commitment to collaborative problem solving, effective communication skills, are also equally important.

What you’ll do:

  • Develop new user-facing features using React.js
  • Build reusable components and front-end libraries for future use
  • Translate UI/UX designs and wireframes into high-quality code
  • Optimize components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers
  • Troubleshoot and debug applications
  • Perform UI tests to optimize performance
  • Help set technical standards and best practices for the future front end team
  • Create and maintain automated tests to ensure quality and save time and money

Who you are:

  • A master of frontend engineering
  • An expert in test-driven development well experienced in agile methodologies
  • An expert in data modeling in one or more modern relational databases
  • Able to delegate efficiently and have a strong desire to support team missions
  • Most importantly: You have an energetic and collaborative personality with a self-starter approach to work! 

 

Requirements: 

  • Strong proficiency in React.js, JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model
  • Thorough understanding of React.js and its core principle
  • Experience with popular React.js workflows (such as Flux or Redux)
  • Expert understanding of client-side scripting and javascript frameworks such as jquery and React
  • Expert in web markup, including HTML5, CSS3, and javascript
  • Proficient understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS
  • Proficient understanding of javascript pre-processing and packaging frameworks such as babel and webpack
  • Familiarity with REST APIs
  • Experience with test-driven development
  • Focus on efficiency, user experience, and process improvement
  • Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools
  • Experience with common front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, NPM, etc.
  • A knack for benchmarking and optimization
  • Familiarity with code versioning tools
  • Excellent communication skills and Teamwork skills with a problem-solving attitude

 

Extra credit:

  • Knowledge of isomorphic React 
  • Professional programming experience (+5 years)
  • Working experience in a fast-paced consumer company, leading a team of high performing engineers
  • Experience with multiple languages, web frameworks
  • Working knowledge of CMS frameworks
  • Cognizant of DevOps practices and principles
  • Good understanding of SEO principles including web analytics and ensuring that application will adhere to them
  • Experience building social media and/or e-commerce applications
  • Experience with data structure libraries 
  • Experience with modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token
  • Direct involvement with open source software projects
  • BSc degree in Computer Science or relevant field

Culture committee is a voluntarily organized committee of 1TMers that discuss, plan, and proactively drive all matters pertaining to company culture. It is not an ad hoc project team or a top-down effort to drive work ethics; it is a group of dedicated employees who act as true culture change agents, and regularly advise leadership on culture issues. 

Paid Annual Leave

  • 3 days after probation
  • 7 days after 6 months
  • 12 days after one year
  • One additional day for each year after ten years (max 30 days)

Bi-annual Helathchecks

The company will provide health checkups every other years.

Company Device or BYOD

You will be provided with a computer for work, however, if you elect to use your own device for work (“BYOD”), the company will provide you a monthly stipend.
