工作內容

PURPOSE and SCOPE OF THE JOB
The Government and Public Affairs Campaigner is responsible for developing effective relationship and lobbying strategy with key actors in governmental organizations in the respective jurisdiction to promote Greenpeace campaign and organizational goals. Working closely with the campaign teams on legislation and government policy, the campaigner will ensure the effective integration of political advice into campaigns and organizational development.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with campaign teams and other colleagues to develop and implement government advocacy-related strategies and projects.
  • Actively engage in building and maintaining effective relationships with players in governmental and public sectors (i.e. state owned and/or operated enterprises and institutions) in order to promote campaign and our organizational mission.
  • Provide expertise with respect to political issues and government operations.
  • Keep abreast of existing and emerging issues in the political and public domains which are related to the environment and Greenpeace. Analyze new development in support of campaign goals. Analyze new development in support of campaign goals.
  • Organize activities and other public events. Represent the organization and respond to public speaking requests as needed. Attend and/or organize conferences. Respond to public inquiries about his/her own area of work. Prepare materials and publications.
  • Be able to operate in fast changing circumstances with ability to quickly and effectively adjust plans to best deliver objectives.
  • Undertake other duties as assigned by the Unit Head.

  • Knowledge of Domestic Politics
  • Presentation and lobbying skills
  • Good Chinese writing skills
