Head of Design

•  Lead a team of 9 UI/UX and marketing designers
• Define design vision and strategy for all products. Align objectives with leaderships and cross functional team members
• Establish team's cultural values and foster an open minded relationships while mentoring the team
• Ensure all projects are delivered on time with the standard of the design team
• Be the liaison between management and cross functional teams
• Ability to solve problems and think critically in a speedy manner
• Able to articulate design base on requirements with various teams
• Be an advocate for design thinking and human-centric culture across company
• Ability to jump in and design when things get hectic

• Portfolio of UI design or related projects
• 10+ years of experience working in creative or startup environment
• Knowledge of Design Thinking flows and concept
• Expert knowledge of responsive design and mobile UI
• Familiarity with design and/or prototyping software, such as Sketch, Figma etc.
• Hands-on product design experience from discovery to launch; Some experience with Saas or insurance industry is preferred but not a must.
• Be a good listener and lead by example. Challenge directly. Care personally.
• Ability to think independently, make decision and have good communication throughout
• Ability to perform in a fast paced, high stress design process while overseeing the design team
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, and ability to present work to executives and large groups.
• Clear communication in English and Mandarin
