Product Management Intern (2024 Summer Internship Program)

OneDegree is a new generation of InsurTech that reimagines the industry with design and digital innovation. Our mission is to set new standards for insurance that puts customers first. 

We are among the first batch of virtual insurers authorized by the Hong Kong Insurance Authority to provide insurance products purely through online channels. We pride ourselves on providing breakthrough innovations in products and services via our digital platform. We are currently offering Pet, Fire, Critical Illness and Home Insurance and expected to provide wider coverage to the general public in the coming year.

We are currently seeking a motivated and talented individual to join our team as a summer intern. This is a great opportunity to gain practical experience in a dynamic and exciting work environment.

Responsibilities

As a Product Management Intern, you will:

Learn and Observe:

• Understand how our company operates, including its various departments and processes.
• Shadow more senior teammates and gain insights into their day-to-day activities.

Jira and Phrase Organization:

• Work closely with the team to restructure our internal Jira and Phrase accounts.
• Ensure that Jira boards are organized, easy to read, and aligned with project goals.
• Coordinate with key stakeholders to clarify backlogged items and reprioritize based on business needs.
• Streamline our Phrase account organization to be in sync with design and development teams.

Support and Collaborate:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and achieve organizational goals.
• Participate in training sessions, workshops, and meetings to enhance your skills.

AI Prompts in Jira (Optional):

• Explore opportunities to use AI prompts within Jira workflows and filters.
• If interested, go beyond the initial scope and make further improvements to our Jira processes.

Requirement

To excel in this role, you should possess the following:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field is preferred.
• Excellent communication, analytical, logical thinking, problem-solving, and writing skills.
• Good English skills, especially in speaking and reading.
• Understanding and/or hands-on experience in Jira or another ticketing system is a strong asset.
• Data-driven with a strong ability in analyzing data to derive insights and make decisions.
• Adaptable, open-minded, and comfortable working with ambiguity and change in the fast-paced e-commerce industry.Bottom of Form
