Senior Infrastructure Project Manager

Purpose of the role

As Senior Infrastructure IT Project Manager, you will manage and lead enterprise-wide, cross-functional strategic projects which range from medium to large-scale with moderate to high risk, impact and complexity. You will join the infrastructure department composed of 6 teams of highly skills, dynamic and diverse people spread around the world. You will directly report to the head of the infrastructure department. You will direct the daily activities of team members and subcontractors on multiple projects to ensure they provide high quality, on time and on budget deliverables. As senior project managers, you will also develop the project management office.

Part of your role will also be devoted to Taipei Site Management. As site manager you will contribute to the development of the Taipei office, build a strong team culture and provide management support to local teams and managers. You will be the key contact of company management for all aspects related to the Taipei site, from budgeting to workforce, operations and financial planning.

What you will do

• Direct large-scale, complex IT infrastructure projects that may involve multiple internal and external stakeholders
• Develop the project charter, WBS, project plan, resource plan, risks and contingency plan
• Lead the projects kick-off and coordination with the relevant stakeholders; represent the project in various governance and inter-department meetings
• Build, lead, and coach multiple project teams throughout project lifecycles
• Evaluate trade-offs between projects resources availability, cost, urgency, risks, and stakeholder return over investment
• Ensure proper communication flow, knowledge transfer, documentation and lessons learned throughout project lifecycles
• Ensure all projects adhere to project methodology compliance standards set by the company
• Anticipate, clarify, and track requirements, deliverables, risks and issues, remove blockers, resolve minor challenges and escalate as appropriate
• Develop the Project Management Offices regarding process, best practices, organizational understanding, PM materials
• Share knowledge, and mentor others within the infrastructure department regarding small to medium project management
• Play as site manager to build a strong team culture and provide management support to local teams and managers
• Provide support to local teams and managers, provide and receive feedback for development of self and others
• Contribute to build a positive culture in the office and serve as a role model for others to follow when complying with Proton's policies.
• Be the privileged point of contact of company management for all aspects related to the site, from budgeting to workforce, operations and financial planning.
• Collaborate closely with all operations teams (workplace, finance, people, legal).

• Minimum of 10 years experience as a Project Manager within IT Infrastructure
• Proven successful experience in managing large-scale, complex, cross-functional strategic IT projects, managing large international team
• Good knowledge of agile, waterfall, lean, scrum project management methodologies, ability to identify dependencies, risks, issues and constraints
• Good knowledge of IT infrastructure technologies (e.g. Virtualization, DC management, network, Storage, Kubernetes, Monitory, Security)
• Curious, proactive, autonomous, strong analytical mindset and keen attention to details
• Excellent communication, good listening skills, strong feedback culture
• Decision-making, prioritization, conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent proficiency in English and Mandarin, and able to prioritize multiple partners of the project from multiple countries.
• Proven ability to deliver in a fast-changing environment
