Sr. Program Manager

Roku is now seeking a senior-level program manager to support hardware, systems software and product development of new Roku TV products. If you are energetic, an assertive team player, and someone who can expertly manage high volumes of detail while thriving on rapid development cycles, this role will be a good fit for you.

You will use your expertise of software, hardware design; your detailed knowledge of product life cycle flow; and your innate sense of determination, to ensure the project stays on target with product, design, quality, schedule and cost goals from concept to delivery.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and track detailed program schedules for hardware, firmware, test and keep projects on track
• Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify risks, and escalate issues as necessary
• Provide well-organized easy to understand status updates on a regular basis to key stakeholders, as well as and various groups of management audiences
• Ensure all cross-functional requirements, such as product specifications and model provisioning, are delivered on time
• Work closely with external vendors, factories and partners to manage their support and our expectations of their contribution to Roku products
• Collaborate with product and marketing groups to co-ordinate release plans
• Willing to travel occasionally to Roku international offices.

Experience/Qualifications

• 5+ years of software/firmware and program management
• Extensive experience in mass-produced consumer products
• Proficient in program management concepts and tracking tools
• Hands-on experience with the software development lifecycle, specifically for embedded systems
• Familiar with Waterfall and Agile hybrid methodology
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, and organizational skills are required
• Excellent communication and technical presentation skills
• Prior software and hardware experience in engineering development and project management
• Bachelor’s degree of ComSci or EE or above preferred.
