We are seeking a high-caliber Web Development Technical Lead to join our Global Marketing team. This is a strategic leadership role that sits at the intersection of technical architecture, team management, and digital transformation. You will be responsible for leading the evolution of ViewSonic’s global web ecosystem, spearheading the migration from legacy systems to a unified, modern SaaS-based architecture.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned expert in Laravel (PHP) and cloud infrastructure who thrives on building scalable technical roadmaps and mentoring a high-performing development team.
People Leadership & Management: Own the full employee lifecycle for the Web Developers. Responsible for hiring, performance reviews, and team mentorship.
Migration Strategy & SaaS Integration: Architect the transition of regional properties into a unified global core. Lead the replacement of in-house legacy systems with external SaaS-based CMS (e.g. Adobe Experience Manager) and PIM solutions.
Engineering Governance & Workflow: Establish engineering standards and conduct code audits. Design and automate Jira or Monday.com workflows to integrate task management into the deployment pipeline.
Security & Reliability: Own global infrastructure health, implementing proactive monitoring and automated WAF rules to maintain 99.9% uptime.
Strategic Stakeholder Management: Partner with IT, Marketing, Customer Service, and regional heads to translate business requirements into scalable technical roadmaps.
Education: University or Graduate degree, preferably in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
Core Experience: 8+ years in web development with significant experience in System Design and High-Availability Architecture.
Management Experience: Proven track record of leading and supervising a technical team, including developers and designers.
Technical "Must-Haves"
Architectural Mastery: Expert-level proficiency in Laravel (PHP) and component-based logic like Vue.js or React.
Infrastructure: Deep knowledge of Linux/Nginx (LEMP) and AWS/Azure environments.
Integrations: Expert in RESTful API design and connecting fragmented enterprise systems.
Standards: Mastery of Git, branching strategies, and CI/CD pipelines.
Nice-to-Have
SaaS Ecosystems: Experience implementing and integrating external SaaS CMS and PIM platforms.
Workflow Automation: Experience building advanced dev-flow automations within Jira or Monday.com.
AI & Modern Stacks: Proficiency in AI-assisted coding and familiarity with Next.js/TypeScript.
E-commerce & Scaling: Experience migrating legacy platforms (e.g., Magento) and using Docker/Kubernetes.
Analytics: Familiarity with Piwik Pro, Microsoft Clarity, and GA4 to analyze technical user journeys.
Language & Competency
Languages: Fluent Chinese and Good English.
