Draft and review contracts, including internal legal templates, with a focus on sales, retail, distribution, e-commerce, licensing, marketing, in accordance with internal guidelines and policies in Japanese and English.
Localization and implementation of Group’s compliance programs and protocols.
Organize and file contracts, court filings, and other legal documents.
Coordinate and manage any potential litigation or regulatory action
Conduct legal research and render legal advice regarding operational, commercial and general corporate matters under guidance.
Support affiliates in the APAC region and overseas with contract reviews and other legal requirements as needed
4~7 years of post-qualification experience in an in-house legal department of a multinational corporation in Japan.
Holding a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from a Japanese law school or a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from a reputable university in Japan.
Experience with a consumer brand, especially in the FMCD industry, is a plus.
Attention to detail, self-motivator, self-starter and with strong business sense.
Outstanding listening and communication skills; adept at communicating contract concepts and legal terminology and information, both verbally and in writing, to legal and non-legal audience.
