【About the Role】
You’ll join a product-led, engineering-centric team focused on designing and scaling robust data engineering and backend systems. Our work spans high-volume data ingestion, complex data transformation (ETL/ELT), automated task orchestration (e.g., using Prefect), and cost-efficient cloud-native infrastructure.
We value the engineering discipline. Our workflow includes unit testing, API testing, and a well-defined Data/CI/CD pipeline. We also equip all developers with Claude code or Cursor to enhance development velocity and code quality.
【What You’ll Do】
- Design and implement robust, maintainable APIs and backend modules (primarily using FastAPI)
- Optimize data workflows, caching strategies, and asynchronous background jobs
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines, leveraging tools like BigQuery for data warehousing and Prefect for workflow orchestration.
- Explore and integrate LLM technologies (e.g., Gemini API) to build intelligent, data-driven features for our commercial property platform.
- Write and maintain unit tests and API tests using Pytest, HTTPX, etc.
- Collaborate with product, frontend, and PI (Property Intelligence) team to transform business needs into backend systems
Build observability and Data/CI/CD pipelines to ensure reliability and traceability

- Backend: Python 3.x, FastAPI / Flask
- Data Engineering: BigQuery (Data Warehouse), Prefect (Workflow Orchestration)
- Testing: Pytest, HTTPX, unittest, Testcontainers
- Databases: PostgreSQL, Redis
- Search & Analytics: Elasticsearch, BigQuery, optional integration with vector DBs
- Infrastructure: Docker, GCP (Cloud Run / GKE), GitHub Actions
- Observability: Grafana, Prometheus, Loki
- AI Tools: Claude Code, Cursor, LLM APIs (e.g., Gemini API)

【What We’re Looking For】
- 3+ years of Python backend development experience
- Strong grasp of RESTful APIs, database modeling (PostgreSQL)
- Experience with testing frameworks (Pytest preferred)
- Hands-on with Redis, async job queues, background task orchestration
- Comfortable with Git and modern CI/CD workflows
- Familiar with Docker and Unix/Linux environments
【Nice to Haves】
- Experience with GCP and Kubernetes (GKE, Cloud Run, Pub/Sub)
- Built ETL pipelines or scraping systems
- Comfortable using Claude, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot
- Familiarity with observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki)
- Experience mentoring developers or performing code reviews
- Familiarity with frontend development (e.g., React frameworks) is a plus
