VP of Engineering

Job Description

We are looking for a hands-on, people-focused VP of Engineering to lead a team of 30+ and a growing engineering team. For this role, you will be responsible for building scalable processes, ensuring technical excellence, and enabling a high-performing team culture. You will work closely with executive leadership, product, and cross-functional teams to bring our product vision to life through execution and delivery.

Responsibilities

•  Lead and grow a team of 30+ engineers across backend, frontend, and QA, while collaborating closely with a   cross-functional DevOps & Infra team.
•  Act as a key strategic partner to the CTO, translating technical vision into an executable roadmap and   operational excellence.
•  Build and optimize engineering processes to ensure velocity and quality.
•  Oversee project execution, resource planning, and ensure the timely progress and delivery of product   milestones.
•  Foster a team culture based on accountability, continuous learning, and collaboration.
•  Implement metrics and KPIs to measure engineering effectiveness.
•  Adjust team composition according to the company vision and support the team's skill growth to meet long- term development needs.
•  Identify talent gaps, drive hiring, and support career development for engineers.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering; 5+ years in leadership roles.
• Deep, hands-on experience with the Microsoft .NET framework and ecosystem.
• Proven experience managing mid-sized engineering teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven ability to execute and successfully deliver on a company's product and technical vision.
• Demonstrated experience and ability to effectively ensure and improve a team's code quality.
• Familiar with agile methodologies.
• Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Fluent in English; Mandarin communication is a plus.

Nice to Have

• Experience working in a startup or high-growth company.
• Familiarity with AWS, GCP, or other cloud architectures.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams such as PM, Design, and Operations.
• Understanding or hands-on experience with full-stack architecture (Frontend + Backend) is a plus.
