Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) Lead

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) Lead who will be responsible for leading a team to ensure a reliable, scalable, and high-performing platform infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of pipelines for deploying applications using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, with a strong emphasis on Ansible, Kubernetes (K8s), and CI/CD pipelines via Jenkins/ArgoCD.
• Work in close collaboration with the CTO and infrastructure teams to define technical strategy and ensure alignment on platform architecture and roadmap.
• Oversee the establishment and enhancement of our monitoring and telemetry capabilities using Prometheus/Grafana stacks and OpenTelemetry standards to ensure comprehensive system visibility.
• Align the SRE team's technical roadmap and development—including the architecture and execution of Disaster Recovery (DR) strategies—with the company's overarching vision and technical planning.
• Drive the sustainable scaling of our systems through automation, and evolve system architecture by championing changes that improve reliability, velocity, and efficiency.
• Provide leadership and guidance to the SRE team, fostering a culture of proactivity, responsibility, and ownership.

Successful Applicant

• A minimum of 6 years in DevOps or a related field, with proven experience in a senior or leadership role.
• A minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience maintaining Kubernetes in production environments. In-depth understanding of core Kubernetes principles (including CNI, CSI) and proven experience with multi-cluster architectures.
• Extensive and proficient experience with Ansible is a mandatory requirement.
• Experience designing and implementing distributed storage architectures within a private cloud environment.
• Practical experience with network security, including building and managing Web Application Firewalls (WAF) and utilizing Cloudflare services.
• Expertise in building CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, ArgoCD) and a deep familiarity with the CNCF landscape.
• Strong knowledge of both Windows/Linux server administration, core networking principles, and API Gateways (e.g., Traefik).
• A history of successfully managing large-scale, mission-critical systems and solid experience with on-call support.
• Professional proficiency in English and strong communication skills for effective collaboration within technical teams.
