Technical Head/Manager

 

Affiliates.One is a growing Asia & Global Affiliate Network serving thousands of global affiliates and handling millions of data monthly. At the heart of its operation are the people that believe in Digital Marketing as a marketing channel that can bring exponential growth to any online business. We started as a local affiliate network running a few online campaigns and supporting local affiliates by utilizing our in-house platform. Now, our network has been growing fast and is expanding its reach globally. As a result, we need to provide scalable solutions for our affiliates, advertisers and team members.

 

Currently, we are building a solid team of engineers that can help with developing, maintaining, optimizing and supporting our in-house platform and its users. You will be working with the existing engineers, overseeing & managing their development, implementation and maintenance of the platform. You will act as a communication point between the engineers and operation team members. Here are the details:

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Maintain, improve, supervise and implement robust and efficient technical standards, systems and processes of development from start to finish.
  • Provide direction and support to ensure compliance with relevant legal and regulatory standards
  • Lead the engineering team in developing new features or products. This includes making sure that each small tasks are meeting the due dates
  • Review each code submission to make sure it meets all the requirements and standards for production ready
  • Act as a key contact with operation team in gathering requirements or information for new features or bug fixes

Non-technical Requirements

  • Has Good communication skills
  • Speaks fluent English. Our engineering team is English speaking
  • Can Self-motivate with the ability to work under pressure and under your own initiative
  • Has organizational and leadership skills
  • Has the ability to make quick decisions, solve problems and analyze information

 

Technical Requirements

  • Experience with React (5+ years)
  • Experience with Javascript (5+ years)
  • Experience with HTML & CSS (5+ years)
  • Experience with MySQL and SQL Queries (4+ years)
  • Experience with Git Protocol (specifically GitHub), Pull Request and Code Review
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services - such as EC2, RDS, Kinesis, Redshift, OpenSearch
  • Familiar with Linux system in general, Ubuntu specifically
  • Familiar with System Admin (DevOps) tasks

 

Other Things We Consider:

  • Experience with Ruby on Rails (Preferrably 2+ years)
  • Experience with third party API integration
  • Experience with Digital Marketing: Affiliate Marketing, Social Media, E-Commerce, Blogging Platform, Search Marketing
  • Experience or exposure with Big Data

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree (or its equivalent) in Computer Science or its related field
  • Strong web application development skill; RoR development not a must but a plus to have
  • More than 5 years working in the technical field
  • Able to speak fluent English to communicate with English-speaking engineers
