Hello! We’re team Glossika. Our mission is to provide language learning to the world and allow learners to learn any language using their own mother tongue. 

Our core development team is based in Taiwan, and we have diverse team backgrounds including members from Russia and the Middle east. We have customers from around the world. We have two products: Glossika and Viva (Glossika is for language learning, and Viva is for content creation). 

We’ve got selected as the top 20 Edu tech startups by the Taiwanese government in the year 2020, and also got recommended by American linguist John McWhorter in New York Times in 2021. 

About this position

We’re looking for our very first customer service representative to provide better and efficient service to our customers worldwide, and there will be a lot of things that you need to build from scratch.

This is a home-based full-time job.

Your responsibility will include, but not be limited to, the following:

I. Solve customers’ issues and maintain the relationship with customers

  • Provide efficient and prompt service to our customers (including emails and social media)
  • Set up customer service metrics to track the performance

II. Fully understand our products, and be able to bridge customers and product team

  • Gather customers’ feedback and provide it to the team
  • Fully understand the products, and can provide your own ideas and insight
  • Deliver user pain points to team members on behalf of customers

III. Optimize the customer service process

  • Keep updating and optimizing our Help Center to provide up-to-date info to customers
  • Good at finding and implementing new tools/approaches to improve the service and efficiency

Interview Process

There are three interview rounds:

Round 1: 20 minutes online interview
We’ll focus on your background, personality, work experience, and career goal

Round 2: The skill test
We’ll send you a test if you pass the 1st round

Round 3: Final round
If you pass the skill test, you’ll be invited to the final round discussion. 


Basic Qualifications

  • You have integrity and you take responsibility for your work
  • Native or near-native English and Chinese ability
  • At least 1 year of customer service experience
  • You’re an active listener and you have great communication skills
  • Self-disciplined
  • You’re capable of wearing many hats and you enjoy challenges

Preferred Qualifications

  • Your timezone is not GMT+8 (most of our customers are from the US and Europe, and it would be awesome if your working hours is our nighttime in Taiwan!)
  • You have experience in learning other languages
  • You have strong interests in foreign cultures and languages
  • Sense of humor
  • Tech-savvy
