Reports to the VP of Sales

We're looking for an Account Executive to own the entire sales process from prospecting to close, although this job will be primarily outbound oriented. Alongside being an AE, you'll gain exposure to a lot of different parts of the business, get a say in developing processes, and overall have a much more entrepreneurial experience here than at many larger companies - if that appeals to you!

This role is also responsible for building and executing multi-channel outbound campaigns to identify buyer needs and intent, and engage with buyer interest/decision-makers within accounts and closing new deals

Our primary customer type is small and medium size freight forwarders. There are some details that the sales team must master in order to be perceived as credible experts and trusted advisors. Also, the Company is expecting to move upmarket over time. As such, we are looking for a well-rounded AE who is able to diagnose and recommend the right process and training program for the right market segment.

This role reports directly to the VP of Sales and is a key member of newly built our sales organization.


【What you will be doing】

- Generate business opportunities through inbound and outbound channels
- Meet with potential customers, understand their problems, and assess whether or not GoFreight is a good fit
- Conduct product demonstrations that convey value, handle objections, and manage expectations
- Negotiate annual software contracts
- Create a large pipeline of business within a short period of time
- Work cross-functionally with Marketing and Product to develop and execute an effective sales strategy
- Drive complex deals from initial contact, all the way through to close in a predictable fashion
- Strong discovery process as well as ability to present a category creating product
- Effectively leverage sales tools to optimize performance and results
- Accurately manage and report forecasts
- Helping grow the sales team and build a scalable, repeatable process

- Hungry, humble, smart
- Understand the value of following a disciplined sales process including proper tracking
- Comfortable in a smaller rapidly evolving early stage start-up environment
- 5+ years of closing sales experience within a fast paced and rapidly evolving organization
- Proven ability to exceed quotas and goals, ideally showing track record of internal promotion
- The ability to work individually and collaborate within a team environment to achieve set goals
- Exceptional verbal and written communications skills
- Thorough, persistent, detail oriented, and willing to eat flaming hot peppers ;)
- Looking to take initiative and help build new processes, try new approaches, and be appreciated for incremental improvements to drive success
- 3+ years of software sales experience
- Proven ability to identify, connect with, and qualify best-fit customers
- Experience remote selling with video calls and screens-share demonstrations is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree or comparable experience
