* Lead the ML Team to build the core algorithms of the data products
* Survey papers and coach teammates to accelerate the AI feature development cycles
* Help both the business and engineering sides to evaluate technical feasibility and control stakeholders' expectation
* Collaborate with academic partners and industry partners to build advanced algorithms
* Compile and translate complex, theoretical, or analytics findings into an easily understood illustration
* PhD in Computer Science or Statistics
* 5-10 years of experience leveraging various machine learning algorithms to solve real-world problems with a proven track record of driving business results.
* Excellent understanding of machine learning or statistical data analysis in theory and applications
* Strong collaboration skills with data analysts, data engineers, machine learning engineers to build production-level products
* Applied experience with handling and analyzing large-scale datasets for various industries and application scenarios
* Familiar with Python, scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch
* Experience with cloud services such as AWS or GCP
* Ability to establish and maintain internal and external professional networks
* Great presentation skills and academic paper writing
* Professional proficiency in Japanese
* Experience in engineering
* Experience in GIS
* Experience in open-source projects and/or contributions
* Experience in security and privacy-preserving techniques
