【TENG2101】Senior Database Administrator

The Database Administrator is responsible for ensuring the integrity, security, and high availability of all databases supporting SHOPLINE products. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining database solutions, with a strong focus on optimizing performance and ensuring resiliency across both SQL and NoSQL environments.

【What you’ll be doing】

• 透過建立穩固的設計、實作及維護機制，來達到確保資料庫穩定可用及安全。
• 透過Index及系統參數等方式，進行調教資料庫效能。
• 與工程師緊密合作，確保能將資料庫的最佳使用方式套用至應用場景。
• 積極處理資料庫相關問題，並且交付高品質成果。
• 設計並實施有效的備份及災害還原策略。
• 監控資料庫運作效能，主動預見及解決潛在問題。
• 詳細記錄工作流程及設置文件化，供日後維運及參考使用。

• Design & Maintenance: Ensure the integrity, security, and availability of databases through robust design, implementation, and regular maintenance.
• Performance Optimization: Optimize database performance via tuning, indexing, and other advanced optimization techniques.
• Collaboration: Work closely with engineers to integrate database solutions within the application architecture.
• Ownership: Take full ownership of database-related tasks, ensuring timely and high-quality deliverables.
• Backup & Disaster Recovery: Design and implement effective backup and disaster recovery strategies to protect critical data.
• Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Monitor database operations and performance to proactively identify and resolve issues.
• Documentation: Thoroughly document processes, procedures, and configurations for ongoing reference and future maintenance.

【Who we are looking for】

• 具備資料庫管理方面的豐富經驗。
• 在查詢優化與效能分析技術上具有專業能力。
• 具備主動積極的心態，能全面負責資料庫相關任務。
• 在資料庫領域持續學習，並能迅速適應新技術。
• 中等英文能力： 能與服務供應商進行溝通，並能理解技術文件。
• 具備 5 年以上 DBA 或相關職務的工作經驗。

• Proven experience in database management.
• Strong expertise in query optimization and profiling techniques.
• A proactive mindset with the ability to take full ownership of database tasks.
• A lifelong learner who quickly adapts to new technologies, especially within the database domain.
• Intermediate English proficiency: Able to communicate with service providers and understand technical documents.
• 5+ years experience in the DBA role or relevant field.

【It'd be plus if you have】

• 具備管理 MongoDB、TiDB 及 PostgreSQL 資料庫的經驗尤佳。
• 具備 Linux 系統效能調校經驗。
• 有在 AWS RDS 上管理資料庫的經驗。
• 有管理其他類型資料庫（如 Elasticsearch 或 Redis）的經驗。
• 具備在 Kubernetes 環境中操作資料庫的實務經驗。
• 曾在快速成長的新創公司工作過。
• 具備建立或維護電子商務平台的相關知識。

• Experience managing MongoDB, TiDB, and PostgreSQL is highly desirable.
• Experience tuning Linux performance.
• Experience managing databases on AWS RDS.
• Experience with other types of databases such as Elasticsearch or Redis.
• Hands-on experience operating databases within Kubernetes environments.
• Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Knowledge in building or maintaining e-commerce platforms.
