Job Summary:

The Financial Operations Associate will report to the VP of Finance. The role will be responsible for building out the processes, internal tools and controls as well as the team to manage BlueX Trade’s fintech client offerings. The two primary products are BlueX Pay, a digital payments solution for the logistics industry, as well as BlueX Capital, a pay-it-later financing solution for logistics payments.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and continuously improve day-to-day Finance Operations to add both speed and controllership to our process and procedures. 
• Collaborate with the Customer Success team to address elevated customer inquiries.
• Investigate customer payment statuses to identify issues and determine next steps.
• Resolve payments and funds transfers to reconcile customer accounts.
• Assist with monitoring of our BlueX Pay and BlueX Capital network of customers and vendors.
• Provide operational support to other functions including Account Management, Compliance, Accounting and Business Intelligence teams.
• Take ownership of internal and external inquiries and provide fast and professional resolution.

• 2 years of experience in a financial operations or payments processing role.
• Knowledge of digital payments, logistics payment terms, trade financing account receivable factoring or lines of credit.
• Passion for creating a positive customer experience that is highly responsive, professional and qualitative.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced, diverse work environment with great follow through on tasks.
• Partner effectively with service providers and problem solve.
• A customer-centric, service orientation to running the FinOps team is critical.
• Demonstrated ability to interact with and influence management and contributors at all levels of the organization.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships.
• Ability to respond to, prioritize effectively and meet deadlines while maintaining the highest of standards of completeness and accuracy.
• Effective and decisive under pressure.
• Independent/flexible problem-solver with ability to positively cope with change.
• Strong level of written and spoken English.
