We are seeking a Business Development Associate to accelerate partner acquisition, market expansion, and commercial execution. This role blends strategic analysis and deal execution — identifying, structuring, and scaling partnerships with leading mobile wallets, acquirers, stablecoin issuers, PSPs, and merchant networks.
Key Responsibilities
Partner Origination & Pipeline Development
Identify and qualify new wallet, acquirer, and payment ecosystem partners.
Develop outreach strategies, market entry plans, and commercial pitches for each corridor.
Build and maintain an organized CRM-based pipeline with quantified potential and deal stage tracking.
Deal Structuring & Execution
Support the BD team in negotiating partnership terms, fee structures, and incentive frameworks.
Coordinate with legal, product, and engineering teams to prepare integration proposals and go-live timelines.
Track and report progress for ongoing partner integrations and network launches.
Market Research & Competitive Intelligence
Conduct research on wallet ecosystems, stablecoin regulations, and cross-border payment trends.
Benchmark competitors (Alipay+, UnionPay, Visa Pay SDK, etc.) and synthesize insights into actionable strategy.
Prepare market briefs and partner intelligence summaries for internal use and investor presentations.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work with product and operations teams to ensure smooth partner onboarding and post-launch success.
Assist in technical workshops or API walkthroughs with partner engineering teams when required.
Coordinate marketing materials and co-branding opportunities with strategic partners.
Reporting & Communication
Prepare management updates, dashboards, and performance summaries for leadership review.
Support the creation of investor decks, market briefs, and partnership case studies.
Experience
2–5 years of experience in business development, partnerships, or strategic sales in fintech, payments, or blockchain/Web3 sectors.
Prior exposure to mobile wallets, payment networks, or stablecoin projects preferred.
Experience managing cross-border stakeholders or high-growth startup environments is a plus.
Skills & Competencies
Strong commercial acumen and negotiation capability.
Excellent communication and presentation skills in both business and technical contexts.
Analytical mindset with proficiency in Excel/Sheets, PowerPoint/Slides, and CRM tools.
Knowledge of blockchain, FX, or programmable finance concepts (trainable but valued).
Self-starter who thrives under ambiguity and takes ownership from idea to execution.
Education & Language
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field (Master’s a plus).
Fluency in English and Mandarin
